IV sedation, also known as conscious sedation, is administered through a small needle in your arm or hand. This method allows us to adjust the level of sedation throughout your procedure to ensure optimal comfort. With IV sedation, you’ll remain conscious and able to respond to instructions, but you’ll feel deeply relaxed and may have little to no memory of the procedure. This option is ideal for patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety, those undergoing lengthy procedures, or patients who have difficulty getting numb with local anesthesia. Dr. Puffer carefully monitors your vital signs throughout the treatment to ensure your safety and comfort.
